This was a potential film in which Charles Mortimer would appear. However, I find no information about its completion. A film entitled "Sensation", based upon the play "Murder Gang", was released. Charles Mortimer, who played Superintendent Stainer in the play in the West End, is not in the cast. Stainer is played by Henry Oscar in this production. The film starred John Lodge and Diana Churchill.
However, as can be seen in the article below, it seems Charles Mortimer was a part of the cast.

AUTUMN ACTIVITY By F. S. JENNINGS (Era Studio Correspondent)
BRITISH International Pictures, whose production activities have been working at half-pressure for some months, are now about to get back to the normal business regular and intensive picture making. Commencing the first half of their Autumn and Winter 1936-7 schedule, they started shooting on "Murder Gang," an adaptation of the stage crime play, three days ahead of the arranged schedule, on last Friday to be exact. The tentative title was "Sensation”, but another company having prior claim to that. B.1.P. have reverted to the original. Brian Desmond Hurst is directing John Lodge, and the part of the barmaid is being played by Diana Churchill. The other leading feminine role is being taken by Margaret Vyner, an Australian actress discovered by Miles Mander whilst filming Gaumont-British’s The Flying Doctor in the Commonwealth. Francis Lister, Joan Marion, Jerry Verno, Dennis Wyndham, Charles Mortimer, and Anthony Holies have supporting parts. Concurrently with the above, shooting will start at the end of this week of "The Dominant Sex,” a screen version of the successful West End marital comedy, with Herbert Brenon directing.
