From the Era of 19 April, 1933.
THEATRE HEWS To-night, with the production of "The Voice" at the Kingsway, the work of two new authors, Lynd Nathan and Joseph Fraser, will be seen. Without venturing prophesy too much, 1 like the notion, which is to present a theme from modern life and treat it in new verse and prose form. I feel convinced that our stage will very soon definitely abandon the clipped, verbal naturalism of the present-day and, in contradistinction to the cinema, embark an era during which it's aim will be the exploitation the glory of words. Henry Hallett, Robert Horton, A. S. Homewood, Richard Carey, Charles Mortimer, Leonard Shepherd, Alexander Sarner, Joan Hopegood, and Dorothy Green are in the cast. |
