Charles Mortimer played Wally Staines in "The Cat's Paw" at Exeter, Northampton and Folkestone.
Exeter and Plymouth Gazette - Tuesday 15 May 1923. Theatre Royal, Exeter.
"Against him is pitted the master-brain of the underworld, that of Wally Staines, well portrayed by Mr Charles Mortimer. Suave and oily in his speech but utterly unscrupulous in his methods, the modern day Fagin needs a skilful actor to faithfully represent character, and Mr Mortimer meets the requirements admirably." |
